Planning for future energy
If solar panels, battery storage or a second EV may follow, say so early. It can influence equipment selection, monitoring and how future cable routes are allowed for.
Workplace versus home charging
A workplace may need user access, reporting, multiple bays, load management and a plan for future chargers. That moves the conversation from a single unit to a small infrastructure project.
Useful handover checks
Confirm isolation, app or network setup, charging behaviour, user controls and what to do if the unit reports a fault. Keep the installation certificate and product information together.
Do not work on live electrical equipment. If there is smoke, fire, a burning smell or immediate danger, keep clear, isolate only if safe and contact the emergency services where appropriate.
