Can you price from drawings?+
Yes, when the drawings and schedules are sufficiently developed. A site survey is still normally needed to confirm the existing installation, access, routes, responsibilities and exclusions.

Who is responsible for specialist systems and other trades?+
The written scope can include agreed fixed supplies, containment and electrical interfaces. Design, supply, configuration, commissioning, equipment internals and builders’ work for HVAC, fire alarms, access systems, data, signage or other specialist equipment remain with the responsible contractor unless a specific item is included in writing.
Can work be planned around trading hours?+
Where practical, access and electrical isolations can be planned around the premises. Share operating hours, critical circuits, landlord or centre rules and available shutdown windows before the programme is agreed; out-of-hours work is not automatically included.
What if the existing installation or records are incomplete?+
The survey should review the available supply, distribution, earthing, previous records and accessible routes before new loads or stages are committed. An unknown condition, defect or capacity issue can change the proposed scope and should be recorded rather than assumed away.
What will the electrical handover include?+
Testing, labelling, certification and other records are agreed for the fixed electrical work in scope. Specialist-system commissioning, landlord records or work by another contractor remain separate unless the written scope assigns them to Imrie Electricals.
