How is this page different from the general EICR page?+
This page is for an inspection planned around occupied or managed commercial premises, including premises boundaries, records, access, operating constraints and possible isolations. The general EICR and certification page is the clearer route for home, landlord and pre-purchase needs, and remains available when a business enquiry fits that broader inspection route.
What information is useful before the inspection is scoped?+
Send the premises type, full postcode, responsible site contact, areas and distribution equipment involved, any previous reports or certificates, current circuit information, operating hours, access rules and known circuits or equipment that cannot be interrupted without planning.
Can inspection and testing be planned around an operating premises?+
Where practical, access and electrical isolations can be planned by area or agreed window. Areas or circuits that cannot be accessed or isolated are recorded as limitations in the agreed report scope. Timing and disruption are discussed against the premises and the work involved.
Does the EICR cover equipment, appliances and every inaccessible part of the premises?+
The service covers the fixed electrical installation within the written inspection scope. Appliance testing, equipment servicing, specialist-system maintenance and an unlimited investigation of inaccessible areas are not automatically included. The agreed scope and recorded limitations control what the report covers.
Are repairs included with the inspection?+
Inspection and reporting are kept distinct from remedial work. After the report or an existing report has been reviewed on site, requested remedials can be proposed as a separate written scope.
What does the report tell me?+
It records the condition found in the areas inspected and tested, together with observations and any agreed limitations. We explain the findings and discuss practical next steps. Any requested remedial work is agreed separately.
