What is an EICR?+
An Electrical Installation Condition Report records the condition and safety of the fixed electrical installation at the time of inspection.
Does an EICR include repairs?+
The inspection and report are separate from remedial work. If repairs are needed, they can be clearly quoted after the report.
Which EICR route fits my property?+
Use this general route for home, private-rental and pre-purchase needs. For an occupied or managed commercial or industrial premises, the commercial EICR route is clearer because its scope accounts for premises boundaries, distribution equipment, access, operating constraints and possible isolations. A business enquiry that genuinely fits this broader general route remains welcome.
